BA-27

Neuvostoliiton kuorma-auto tuotanto alkoi AMO-F-15 kuorma-auto valmistuksella
(Fiat F-15 kopio), vuonna 1924.

Viimeinen erä BA-27 autoja asennettiin Ford AA mallin kuorma-autojen alustalle. Molemmat alustan todettiin riittämättömiksi kuljettamaan raskas panssarointi. Myöhemmin valmistettiin 20 auton erä joka asennettiin raskaamman, kolmiakselisen Ford Timken kuorma auton runkoon.
Base nro 2 (Rembaz nro 2), laakeri nimitys BA-27M.

------------

The BA-27 was a Soviet first series-produced armoured car, manufactured from 1928 to 1931, and used for scouting and infantry support duties early in the Second World War. The BA-27 was a heavy armoured car, having the same turret and armament as the first Soviet tank, T-18, manufactured at the same time.

The main gun was a modified copy of the French 37 mm Hotchkiss SA 18 cannon, and it was supported by an additional machine gun.

The production of the first Soviet truck, AMO-F-15 truck (a copy of the Fiat F-15), started in 1924. Using the chassis of this truck, the Izhorsky Factory design team developed BA-27 heavy armoured car in 1927.
There was no significant production of AFVs in Russia since 1918, and the indigenous automobile industry was practically non-existent at the time.
After lengthy trials, the new vehicle was accepted into Soviet Red Army service in 1929. 215 were built between 1928–31.

The last batch of BA-27 was mounted on Ford Model AA truck chassis. Both chassis were found to be inadequate to carry the heavy armour, and around 20 were later rebuilt on heavier, three-axle Ford-Timken truck chassis at Repair Base No. 2 (Rembaz No. 2) bearing designation BA-27M

Timken Company

In 1931, the first Soviet 6x4 chassis was created, a design based on adding Timken tandem rear axles to the American Ford AA chassis, and because of that called Ford-Timken.

193 of BA-27 and BA-27M still remained in service on June 1, 1941, just before the German invasion of the Soviet Union.

During the early stages of the war, several units were captured by Germans and pressed into their own service.

    1. Hi Rodger.
      Thank you for your interest.
Ford industries to soviet was very wide.
      Many factories were in Leningrad
One of the well-known soviet mark (of these) was the Kirov tractor factory (still works)
      which is also manufactured tanks.

The Soviet Union received financial assistance hrough the United States of 1918 - 1940 years, and a lot
This assistance began in the USSR, and especially the great Ukrainian famine during the emergency. 1918 -1921.
Food products, agricultural machinery, tractors, threshing machines, harvesting machines, mowers, seeders, and everything else related to agriculture ...

Loan and rental law continued this assistance until 1941 - 1945.
Until the Cold War begin, then the financial assistance stops.

After the war, perhaps the most well-known technical solution for the evening was a USA Paccar company.
Truck cars, car dumper, wire demountable system, and many others, who are still
are still in use every day.
Paccar truck name wake up again (eg. Daf mark)and has been revived in europe and (ford truck ?) england.

    1. Hi, S-K.
Yap. I think you are right train.
Soviet AC-bottom is england and French.
Because soviet armoured vehicles (manufacturer) begins immediately, after revolution war after. These reasons, and all AC-vehicles are captured to russian white army, and allies forces, who returns home to estonia, and murmansk, back to france and england, and almost all these tanks will stay to soviet red forces uses.
